Out of Control Rhythm & Blues Band Reunites For Regional Food Bank Fundraiser at The Egg January 27th

This might be the last time you’ll hear them in public!

(Albany, NY) The last time they played in public (20,000 people) was July, 2011 when they opened for funk masters Tower of Power at Albany’s “Alive At 5” concert series in the Corning Preserve. Now Out of Control is reuniting for one more performance at The Egg in Albany on January 27th at 2:00PM for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York’s fundraiser. The event is organized by OOC lead singer Rick Rourke in conjunction with the premier of his new CD release, “Three Sides To Every Story”. Along with Out of Control and Rick Rourke, Rick’s band Lost Wages and local faves The Bluz House Rockers will also perform.

The fundraiser/concert will be hosted by PYX 106’s popular morning team “Quinn and Cantara”.

Expect to hear all of Rick Rourke’s newest originals from the new CD plus Rourke originals from Out of Control’s popular ‘Shake The Nation” CD and originals from Bluz House. There may be some special guests too.

Here’s what the critics have said about Rick Rourke:

Whether co-fronting the Bluz House Rockers, the Out of Control Rhythm & Blues Band or his own outfit, Lost Wages, Rourke is a superbly soulful vocalist, a great guitarist and an intuitive R&B saxophonist-harpist. Andrzej Pilarcyk – Nippertown.com

“One of the Capital Region’s most soulful rock vocalists! Greg Haymes, Times Union

Proceeds from this unique musical performance will go to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York to support their efforts to aid the victims of Tropical Storm Irene in nearby Schoharie County and the many downstate Hurricane Sandy victims in Long Island, New York City, and the lower Hudson Valley.
