Tickets for the 6th Annual Mac -n- Cheese Bowl are now on sale! The event will be held on Saturday, February 21 from 11am-2:30pm at the MAC at Siena College. Purchase your tickets at any Price Chopper register through their Tickets to Go! Program. Adults are $20, kids 5-12 are $5 and kids under 5 are free! You can also purchase your afternoon only tickets here at the Food Bank by calling Jessica at 786-3691 x295, or stopping into our office at 965 Albany-Shaker Rd daily from 8:00am-4:00pm. THRE RESULTS ARE IN!
The 8th Annual Neighborhood Food Drive set a new record for donations.
The event brought in 29,140 pounds of food, which is equivalent to 24,283 meals.
THANK YOU to everyone who made this achievement possible!
Homes in participating neighborhoods will receive grocery bags on Friday, January 9 with invitations to fill them and leave them out for pick up by volunteers on Sunday, January 11.
Even people who did not receive bags can participate by bringing a non-perishable food donation to the Food Bank truck, which will be parked at the Westmere Fire Department (1731 Western Avenue, Albany) on Sunday, January 11 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

You can pay and pick up your holiday gift alternative cards until 12pm on Christmas Eve at our office at 965 Albany-Shaker Road in Latham. Or, if you’d rather print your cards at home, several of our holiday card styles are available in PDF form! The CDPHP Holiday Appeal is in full swing! From now until the end of December, CDPHP will match donations up to a total of $10,000! All proceeds from the Appeal will benefit the Food Bank’s BackPack Program. Be sure to indicate “CDPHP Appeal” on your check or in the drop-down menu if donating online!

Do you love eating out or trying new restaurants? We are so glad to continue our partnership with City Dining Cards. Each deck of cards contains 50 cards, each valid at a restaurant for $10 off your food purchase of $30 or more. The deck also contains two “wild cards” with deals or freebies at another location. They are valid from now through the end of 2015 so there is plenty of time to visit your favorite spots and try some new ones! The Capital Region edition can be purchased right at the Regional Food Bank! Decks are $20 each, and if you purchase through the Regional Food Bank, $10 from the price of each deck will come right back to the Food Bank to help people in need. POST EVENT UPDATE: Participants raised $3,000 for the Patroon Land Farm through the Hike for Hunger. THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL!
Imagine the feel of cool crisp air on a sunny fall day. You and your family and friends are hiking on a picturesque trail at Thacher Park. You walk for a while, taking in the scenery, and at the end of your walk you enjoy some delicious apple cider and tasty cider donuts. Sound good? Make it real. Sign up for our inaugural HIKE FOR HUNGER on October 4. All proceeds benefit the Patroon Land Farm, where we grow more than 100,000 pounds of fresh vegetables for hungry people every year. Join us!

We have food and non-food items to sort and would love to have volunteers sign up for shifts:
~Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings: 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
~Saturdays and Sundays: 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.; 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; and 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
