Behind every successful volunteer program is someone who inspires people to show up and get involved. Kim Katz, who organized CDPHP volunteer activities with the Regional Food Bank for the past 10 years, retired at the end of June.
Over the past decade, 257 CDPHP volunteers contributed 553 hours of service, helping support our mission and our neighbors facing hunger.
When asked why she volunteers, Kim shared:
“I think it is important to support the food bank because no one in this country should ever have to go hungry. It is that plain and simple. I hope that I have inspired my co-workers, friends, and former Girl Scout troops by opening the door to the food bank to them. It is a simple, easy, and fun way to make a difference. All you have to do is just show up!”
Thank you, Kim, for your dedication, leadership, and the lasting impact you’ve made. Thank you to the entire CDPHP team for showing up, giving back, and making a difference in our community.
