Members of our team were honored to join Highmark Blue Shield and fellow community partners for the Empire State Winter Games Torch Tour as it stopped in Latham yesterday! We’re cheering on the athletes as they head into competition this weekend. Congratulations on all you’ve accomplished, and best of luck at the Games! 🔥❄️⛷️⛸️🏒

We are thrilled to share that we have been chosen as a 2025-2026 grantee of the @cabrinihealthfoundation!

This support will strengthen our ability to provide localized solutions to alleviating hunger and underscores our commitment to improving the health and well-being of New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity.

We’re grateful to partner with the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation as we continue alleviating hunger, preventing food waste, and nourishing the communities we serve.

After the holidays, many of our agency partners see increased demand with limited resources. To support pantries across our 23-county service area, we’re hosting a series of agency distributions where agencies can pick up food and restock their pantry shelves. We've held distributions in Plattsburgh, Saratoga, Montgomery, Albany, Newburgh, and Woodstock. Dozens of additional distributions are scheduled in the coming weeks to continue supporting partners across our service area.

These distributions are made possible thanks to the support of New York State and Governor Kathy Hochul, helping ensure our partner agencies have what they need to serve their neighbors. Thank you NYS Agriculture & Markets Commissioner Richard Ball for joining us to help support pantries.

“The Food Bank facilitated New York State’s largest Thanksgiving meal distribution and had a hugely successful Holiday Hunger Appeal thanks to generous community support,” said Tom Nardacci, CEO of the Regional Food Bank. “The holidays have notably left our shelves and partner’s shelves bare during January and February, and this much-needed distribution program will directly support agencies by delivering food to where it is needed and in turn benefit communities.”

You say potato, and...wait, does anyone actually say potahto? 🥔

Thanks to Nourish New York funding, which allows us to purchase New York grown or produced food, we recently received LOTS of amazing New York State potatoes for our partner agencies.

Access to nutritious food shouldn’t be a luxury.
That’s why 89% of the food we distribute is made up of nutritious staples, helping our partner pantries provide balanced options to neighbors in need.

The harmful SNAP provisions in H.R. 1 will deepen America’s hunger crisis by taking food away from people who need it most — older adults, children, veterans, and people with disabilities. Act now: https://secure.everyaction.com/Wf7TjlCO3kue_AtCMhE6qQ2
