Storage Tips
Store any leftover Healthy Hot Chocolate in an airtight container in the refrigerator within two hours of preparation. It will stay fresh for 2 to 3 days, making it a great option for meal prep. When you’re ready to enjoy leftovers, gently reheat the mixture on the stove over low heat or in the microwave, stirring well before serving as the ingredients may separate slightly.

Pairing Ideas

This warm and rich beverage is super versatile and pairs well with a variety of snacks! Enjoy it on its own for a moment of peace or serve it alongside whole-grain crackers, a piece of fruit, or a light dessert. It also complements morning oatmeal or a piece of whole-wheat toast. Want something heartier? Serve it after a light soup or a fresh salad for a perfectly balanced meal.

Seasonal Swaps
This recipe is flexible and easy to adjust based on what’s in season or what you have on hand. In the fall and winter, add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or a dash of cayenne pepper for a warming, spiced flavor. During spring and summer, consider serving it chilled as an iced chocolate milk, or blend in some fresh mint for a refreshing twist! You can also mix in flavor extracts like peppermint or almond depending on the occasion. No matter the season, this healthy hot chocolate is easy to make your own!
