Many businesses contribute generously to the Food Bank’s work. In this Hunger’s Hope edition, we highlight two great corporate supporters – Fancy Foods and Deloitte

Fancy Foods has been supporting the Regional Food Bank in various ways for more than 14 years, and individual members of the Fancy Foods team have been involved for more than twice as long as that! Fancy Foods supports our fundraising events with sponsorship, in-kind donations of product that reduce our expenses, and auction items that help us raise additional revenue. The Fancy Foods team is dedicated to the Food Bank’s mission, having provided valuable leadership throughout the years on fundraising committees and our Board of Directors, along with encouraging other companies to donate, volunteer their time, and attend Food Bank functions. Most recently, they have been repackaging large meat donations that are too large for many of our partner agencies to accept into smaller packages more suitable for families. We thank Fancy Foods for doing so much to help the Food Bank better serve our partner agencies and our neighbors in need.

Deloitte, a global professional services firm with a strong local presence, has been supporting the Regional Food Bank and our neighbors in need in a number of ways. Our partnership began humbly with an engaging employee volunteer effort. This volunteer effort grew to include over 40 staff members working at the warehouse and the Patroon Land Farm on Deloitte Impact Day. When Deloitte heard that the Food Bank was building a new distribution center in our Hudson Valley location, they rolled up their sleeves and delivered a pro-bono project to help us design logistics processes for product acquisition resulting in a more efficient and effective system. Deloitte has also become a sponsor of some of our events and has initiated independent fund-raising efforts to support our mission. We thank the leadership and employees of Deloitte for their dedication, commitment, and service to the Food Bank and to our hungry neighbors.
