On October 31, Martin and Lynn Colavito walked 46 miles from their home in Liberty, NY, to the Regional Food Bank Hudson Valley in Montgomery NY. It was a deliberate choice and a demanding one, rooted in care for their community and a desire to support the Sullivan Fresh Community Cupboard.

Their walk brought attention to an issue that is easy to miss when life feels busy or comfortable. Food insecurity is real, and it affects people close to home. We are grateful to Martin and Lynn for their time, their energy, and their willingness to take this on and raise awareness about the issue of hunger. Their walk is a reminder that meaningful change often comes from steady, thoughtful actions that speak for themselves.
