The objective is to get your pantry to center its focus around HEALTH and to offer suggestions on how to identify and promote the healthy foods for your pantry. The Healthy Pantry Initiative is based on a concept from behavioral science research conducted by Feeding America and Cornell University that suggests positive reinforcement and indirect suggestions (nudges) can influence decision making. Our JSY Nutritionists are able to work one on one with food pantries to help foster environmental changes that promote healthier choices.
